THE BOOKSHOP IS CLOSING FOR GOOD IN JULY 2017
It is with much sadness that we are announcing that The Bookshop of Chapel Hill will close in late July of this year. For 10 years, Betty Schumacher and Lee Johnson, with owner Eric Johnson, have enjoyed serving the Chapel Hill community. It has been a joy interacting with students, professors, families and passionate readers. We would like to thank the community and the City of Chapel Hill for the support we have received through the years.
July is still many months away. From this month on we will be having liquidation sales to reduce our stock. We will also continue to buy and trade books on a limited basis until the end of March. So please keep on supporting us through these last months.
And Yes! We do have a Forever Home ready and waiting for Elmo and Red. They will be pampered in style by a loving former employee of The Bookshop.
First liquidation discount starts now: 20% off any book purchase of $20 or more.
(Check Book Buying for information on using book credit during the close-down.)
Clay's cards: For the next few months, we will continue to carry cards by Clay Carmichael, award winning author and illustrator in Carrboro, NC. Each is hand-signed by Clay, printed in non-fading inks, suitable for framing. $3.99 each or 3 for $10.
Bookshop Tees: These will not be reordered. Still have a few (black with cat logo in white on the front and back) in unisex sizes S and L. $10.00 each.
Bookshop Book Bags: These will not be reordered. Have a few left in royal blue and red. $2.50 each.
