Sm8vo, green illustrated paper-covered boads, 350 pages. Book is in good condition, with edge and corner wear, a 1/2-in. split at the top edge of the spine w/ tape marks either side, some foxing on textblock edges, inked word on verso of title page, and foxing on outer margins of a few text pages; illustration on cover is bright, binding is solid, and pages are clean. Jacket is price-clipped and shows edge and corner wear, open tears at the top and bottom of spine and a few short closed tears at top edge, tape marks on the top edge (front, back and flaps); colors on front are vivid; protected in a mylar cover. Later printing (circa 1950s); map of Africa across pastedowns and first and last end papers; illustration only on title page.
